20 year old Amelia Perrin who has been former Miss South East 2015 is a beauty blogger who currently faced a raw and bleeding nails condition due to the wrong way of removal of acrylic nail!!

Yes the the news is true! Amelia Perrin who is addictive to acrylic nails posted several pictures on the social media were it was clearly visible how her nails are in such a bad condition!

Amelia Perrin is a student from The Royal Holloway student and she is also an freelance makeup artist! The teen apparently wanted to show her fans the real truth behind fake nails after wearing them constantly for six years!

Amelia Perrin revealed on social media :

"Nearly cried in the shower at the hot water touching my nail beds and I'm pretty sure there's still loads of shampoo left in my hair. Don't even care how they look it's the physical PAIN dear lord.

Acrylics make me feel more out together so I always like to have them done.

I prefer the look of long fake nails than real ones as they chip easier and sometimes look dirty and bendy.

I get them done professionally and usually get them removed professionally but I didn't have time and one nail had come off and i didn't want to have nine nails on so I started peeling and snapping them off, I then soaked the remains off in acetone.

I filed off all the remains, put my fingers in plasters (as the nerves were exposed showering, washing up etc really hurts) and took biotin pills for the interim.

I know they'll remain damaged but to be honest at this point I'm pretty sure I'm too far gone to return to 100 per cent healthy nails they don't grow the same anymore even if I take my acrylics off.

I knew what I was expecting as I'd done it before and couldn't even zip my jeans up as my exposed nails hurt so bad. Getting them done again stops them hurting."

Fans of Amelia Perrin sympathized with her seeing those images!

Well for the acrylic nail users here are some tips from the Head of Beauty at Paul Edmonds salon, Aphrodite Paphitis :-

"If you are removing acrylic nails yourself try to avoid filing off the acrylic using sharp implements or an abrasive file, as this affects the nail bed.

What one should do instead is lightly buff the acrylic to break the surface (it will look matte) then place a cotton pad which has been lightly soaked in acetone over the finger and wrap the nail in foil.

This will stop the acetone from drying out and allow it to stay active on the nail. Avoid the flesh around the fingers as if you have cuts or dry cuticles you can experience discomfort.

After 10mins try one nail; gently unwrap the foil and cotton and with a wooden, pointed implement gently scrape to remove the acrylic - without hitting the nail bed. If it’s too hard then again place the acetone cotton wrap in foil and try again for another 10 minutes. It should remove easily from your nail.

Once you have removed the large parts you can use the soft buffer of a nail file and lightly buff off any extra that is still attached. Apply cuticle oil to freshen your nails, such as Jessica Phenomen Oil, which is a mixture of oils that will nourish, repair dryness and prevent further damage."
